POSITION: ACCOUNTANT
Bread of Life Church International is currently seeking the services of a suitably qualified person to fill the position of Accountant.
The accountant will report to the Finance Manager and shall be primarily responsible for executing daily accounting activities in support of the Church and its sub entities.
Detailed responsibilities
• Preparation of financial and management accounts and relevant reports to comply with requirements and facilitate decision making.
• Preparation and performance of Bank Reconciliations in order to ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting records.
• Timely preparation of NAPSA, PAYE NHIMA schedules.
• Submission of all statutory returns and payments to relevant authorities.
• Posting transactions and maintenance of accounting records in order to facilitate efficient storage, retrieval of information and decision making.
• Reconciliation of general ledger and sub-ledger for receivable and payable balances.
Qualifications and experience:
• A full Grade 12 School Certificate with minimum of Credit in English and Mathematics
• CIMA/ACCA/CA Zambia/Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting field.
• Member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).
• Good verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Knowledge and experience of computerized payroll and Pastel accounting software.
• Competency in Microsoft applications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good technical, numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work on tight deadlines and extended hours.
